1. Nature of Services (No Returns on Services)
Field Metrics 3D provides professional, custom, and on-site services, including but not limited to field verification, 3D scanning, and as-built documentation.
Under California law, services that are performed, customized, or time-based are not subject to return once rendered.
By purchasing our services, you acknowledge that:
- Services are non-tangible and non-returnable
- Value is delivered through labor, expertise, and digital deliverables
2. Deposits & Payment Terms
- A non-refundable deposit (typically 50%) is required to secure scheduling and allocate resources.
- The remaining balance is due:
- Upon completion, or
- Prior to release of final deliverables
Failure to pay remaining balance may result in:
- Withholding of deliverables
- Suspension of services
3. Cancellation Policy (California-Compliant)
In accordance with fair business practices:
- Cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to scheduled service:
- Eligible for rescheduling
- Deposit remains non-refundable but may be credited once toward a future booking
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior:
- Subject to forfeiture of deposit
- May incur additional fees if resources were mobilized

Same-day cancellations or no-shows:
- 100% of deposit forfeited
- Additional charges may apply for travel or time loss
4. Refund Policy
Non-Refundable
The following are strictly non-refundable:
- Deposits after booking confirmation
- Completed services
- Delivered files (CAD, scans, reports, models, etc.)
Limited Refund Consideration
Partial refunds may be issued at the sole discretion of Field Metrics 3D if:
- Cancellation occurs before field work begins, and
- Minimal labor or costs have been incurred
Approved refunds:
- Will exclude administrative, consultation, and processing time
- May be subject to a reasonable service fee deduction
5. Revisions & Accuracy Guarantee
Field Metrics 3D agrees to provide services with reasonable care and professional standards.
- Errors directly caused by Field Metrics 3D will be corrected at no cost if reported within 3 business days of delivery

Additional revisions beyond original scope, including:
- Design changes
- Scope expansion
- Client-requested modifications
will be billed accordingly
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under California law:
- Field Metrics 3D shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:
- Construction errors
- Project delays
- Loss of profits
- Total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service rendered
- Deliverables are intended for reference and documentation purposes only and do not replace licensed architectural or engineering verification
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide accurate project information and scope
- Ensure safe, legal, and unobstructed site access
- Disclose any hazards or limitations prior to service
Failure to meet these requirements may:
- Impact accuracy
- Result in additional charges
- Void eligibility for refunds or corrections
8. Force Majeure
Field Metrics 3D shall not be held liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including:
- Weather conditions
- Site inaccessibility
- Government restrictions
- Equipment failure beyond control
9. Dispute Resolution (California)
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
- Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation
- If unresolved, disputes may be handled in the appropriate courts of California jurisdiction
10. Acceptance of Policy
By booking or purchasing services from Field Metrics 3D, you acknowledge that you have:
- Read
- Understood
- Agreed to this Return & Refund Policy
